Introduction
If you are using Azure for SSO, Focus is able to sync user and roles automomaticly.
If you use different tenants for recorded people (Subscribers) and logged in users, this is also supported please make sure you let your onboarding team know that this is required during setup
Without the sync users added in azure security groups linked with the the Enterprise app will be allowed to login to Focus but will only get added to the Focus portal user screen once they login the first time (Just in time provisioning) .
If you wish to enable the Focus sync, users will be automatically added to Focus after each sync (30 mins). In addition to this, the Focus sync lets you add and map AD groups to Focus Roles.
Setup
If you wish to enable this service, you must authorize the Focus Azure sync application to read your users and groups.
As part of the Teams onboarding flow this can be automatically enabled, if you are not using Teams recording or want to enable this post onboarding please ask your support team to provide a link to the application for authorization.
Group options
During setup you will be asked for the names you wish to link your groups with (you only need to use the roles you wish, not every group is required), you can use any names you wish:
- Super user
- Admin user
- Team Leader
- Supervisor
- Compliance user
- General user
- Basic user
- Playlist user
If a user is in two groups, the lowest level will be applied
