Focus 2026.8 is a good one: Analysis Studio steps out of the shadows, pause and resume rules land for all MS Teams customers, call types and direction are now mapped in detail, and there is plenty more polish across the platform.

This is the release where several long-running threads finally come together. Analysis Studio, which we hinted at back in 2026.4, is now in customers' hands. The embedded Teams experience is no longer just a sidebar. Pause and resume rules are ready for everyone recording with Teams and related calls can be grouped, linked, and reviewed as a single piece of work.

Highlights​

• Analysis Studio v1 has landed, bringing datazones, per-agent category breakdowns, and LLM-authored "Worth Exploring" suggestions. This is early access and enabled per account.
• The Focus app for Microsoft Teams now runs as a full-screen personal app, not only a side panel.
• Pause and resume V1 is ready for all customers, covering Start Recorded, Start Paused, and Start Stopped, plus switching between modes.
• Call linking and multi-call playback let related calls be grouped and reviewed together.
• Recording ingest and search now understand a group ID, so related recordings stay connected end to end.
• Call direction updates show more clearly what sort of call or meeting it was.

Teams workflows are clearer, recording clarification has more useful actions, legal hold permissions are more precise, and the platform has picked up a long list of API, sync, processing, and observability improvements.
