  • Bot Registered - Your recording bot is configured and ready to join meetings
  • Policy Created - Compliance recording policy is active in your tenant
  • Security Group - User group created for managing who gets recorded
  • Admin Consent - All required permissions have been granted
  • Entra Sync - User synchronization is configured and operational

🚀 Next Steps​

1. Add Users to Recording Group​

Users need to be added to your recording group to enable recording for their calls. You can manage this in:

  • Azure Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) - Add users to the security group created during setup
  • Focus Portal - Use the user management screen to add or remove users
Automatic Sync Available

If you're using Azure SSO, Focus can automatically sync users into the correct policy groups for you!

2. Test Recording​

Have a user from the recording group:

  1. Start a Teams call or meeting
  2. You should notice the recording flag in teams (unless you disabled it)
  3. Recordings will appear in Focus within a few seconds of the call ending

3. Explore Focus Features​

Now that recording is set up, explore what Focus can do:

  • AI Transcription - Automatic speech-to-text for all recordings
  • Smart Search - Find conversations by keyword or topic
  • Analytics - Gain insights into communication patterns
  • Compliance - Meet regulatory requirements with secure storage

Adding or Removing Users​

  • Add users to the security group in Azure Entra ID
  • Changes typically take effect within 24 hours
SSO Users

If you use Azure SSO without sync enabled, users can still automatically login but will be added to the General user group by default and can be moved in the Focus UI.
